The summer season 2021 of the BMW Rally series will be run on MRF tires
MRF Tyres Finland Oy and the BMW Rally series Club Finland ry have agreed on a tyre agreement for 2021. The agreement applies to the BMW Rally Series summer season races. This is MRF Tyres Finland Oy's first agreement with the Finnish motorsport series, which started in Finland this year.
"Great that we got a deal with the BMW Rally Series. We believe that our cooperation will go smoothly and serve the drivers of the series. The first partnership agreement is especially significant for the new tyre brand, and it is hoped that it will also open doors to new partnerships in the future", rejoice Sami Kivioja, CEO of MRF Tires Finland Oy, and Marcus Grönholm, Chairman of the Board.
The BMW Rally Series is the rally's national racing series for the BMW 325i. The preliminary Competition Calendar for the season 2021 includes a total of 6 races, three of which will take place during the summer season.
"We had a great opportunity to test the tyre during the summer and fall by several drivers. We were satisfied with the properties of the tyre and the smooth co-operation with the MRF representatives, so the choice was clear", says Anssi Luoma-aho, the leader of the BMW Rally series.
